Celebrating fifty years of African American Achievement on
Friday, September 23rd, 2011.

Reception begins at 5:30 p.m. Dinner seating begins at 6:30 p.m.

Black tie optional. RSVP by September 12, 2011.

$1,000−Table Sponsor (table of 8)
$100−Individual Ticket
$50−Student Ticket (dinner only, no reception)
**You can buy 8 tickets for $800, but you will not be a table sponsor.

Proceeds from the Gala will support student scholarships at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

All of the Lights, a slam poetry piece, was performed by Jessica Session, vocalist Shana Ward, pianist Kristopher Tucker, and cellist Jeremiah Welch during the Grand Gala celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of African American achievement and integrated enrollment at UT.



Alma Mater at the 50th Anniversary Grand Gala

The Alma Mater, sung first in traditional style and then reworked into a modern arrangement for the finale of the Grand Gala celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of African American achievement, showcased all of the evening's performers.
